A3v; three full-page woodcuts at the beginning of each cantica (fols. A5v, P1r and Dd7v), already used in the Lyon edition of 1551; the title of each cantica within an architectural woodcut frame. Woodcut decorated initials. Eighteenth-century brown morocco, over pasteboards. Covers framed within double gilt fillet. Spine with four raised bands, gilt-tooled, ‘dante' in gilt lettering on the second compartment. Darkened edges. Corners bumped, damaged the upper corner of the lower corner, joints slightly abrased, minor losses to the extremities of the spine. A good copy, browning throughout. A few spots in the title-page. On the title-page the early notes ‘3107' and ‘31', in brown ink.
