Spine with five small raised bands underlined by fillets; compartments decorated with gilt floral tools; title and imprint in gilt lettering (joints lightly abrased). Marbled pastedowns and flyleaves. Board edges with gold frieze; inside dentelles. Gilt edges. A very fine copy, title-page slightly detached.

Provenance: William Michael Rossetti (1829-1919); gifted by him to J. R. (on the recto of the second front flyleaf tipped in a paper slip, with his autograph dedication: ‘J. R. Clayton with the friendly regards of W. M. Rossetti'; Livio Ambrogio collection.
