Edition of the complete works, published in the occasion of the sixth centenary Dante's death by the Società Dantesca Italiana, founded in 1888. The texts were edited by the most renowned Italian Dantists of the time. Michele Barbi (1867-1941) was responsible for the text of the Vita nuova and Rime, Ernesto Giacomo Parodi (1862-1923) and Flaminio Pellegrini (1868-1928) for the Convivio, Pio Rajna (1847-1930) edited the De vulgari eloquentia, Enrico Rostagno (1860-1942) the Monarchia, Ermenegildo Pistelli (1862-1927) the Epistole, Egloghe and the Quaestio de aqua et terra, while Giuseppe Vandelli (1865-1937) was responsible for the text of the Commedia.
