Provenance: ‘Giovan Batista Ceridone' (sixteenth-century ownership inscription on the recto of the front flyleaf); Biblioteca Trivulziana, Milan (paper label on the spine, and stamps; sold as ‘duplicato'); Livio Ambrogio collection.



The collection, put together by Anton Francesco Doni, of ten Dantean lectures held by different member of the Accademia Fiorentina: Francesco Vieri, Giambattista Gelli, Giovanni Strozzi, Pier Francesco Giambullari, Cosimo Bartoli, Giambattista da Cerreto, and Mario Tanci.
